Crazytownx from Hollywood, California
The headliners for the evening, Crazytownx, were getting set-up. Being sure not to lose my spot, since it was general admission, I stayed put the entire time during the switchover. Crazytownx guitarist Elias Tannous came to the front of the stage and thanked me for taking photos, prior to their set. I gave him quick fist-bump and he handed me one of his guitar picks.
House lights were in use, plus there were risers on the front of the stage, putting me out of position for really great shots. Too close sometimes, and also when on the risers they were out of the light, and when on stage they flew around the stage which made it virtually impossible to frame up the shot and anticipate the proper lighting.
Regardless I got some great shots and have been in contact with the band since, capping a good set-shortened night. Here are some of my favorites from the evening.
UPDATE: David and Crazytown have picked up my photos and shared them on their IG accounts. Very cool to see your photos floating in cyberspace on the band’s accounts! Even David’s clothing company got in on the action.
