Photo Shoot and Concert Review
3 Doors Down from Escatawpa, Mississippi
Photoshoot and Concert Review for TheRustBeltChronicles.com at the Hard Rock Rocksino in Northfield Park, Ohio on February 9, 2018.
A little extra attention needs to be had when entering the venue to photograph. Due to the attached casino, I needed to enter through a security checkpoint and be escorted to and from the venue. It felt little less strict and more VIPish, but it was all business. The security before and after the concert was very gracious and friendly. I even scored a sweet 3 Doors Down Media badge that went into the rock memorabilia collection.
It was time for 3 Doors Down and it was a nearly sold out venue. Fans had gathered at the front of the stage, but security asked everyone besides media to take their seats. It was an acoustic show, and the stage was by far the largest I had photographed to this point.
The lighting in this venue was nearly like shooting outdoors. High shutter speeds allowed for my crispest images to date, and I was able to get a dozen or so excellent photos during the three-song restriction. I have some more shows lined up at this venue, and honestly cannot wait to return, although next time we will go early and hit the slots!

Update: Chris Henderson from 3 Doors Down picked up the photo I took for TheRustBeltChronicles.com and shared it out on his Instagram account. It’s cool to see your work used by your subject as well as the other rock stars that like it too (See likes below).
