Photo Shoot and Concert Review

Groot from Columbus, OH

On assignment for Splice-MediaGroup.com at The Electric Company Concert Lounge in Mansfield, Ohio on July 18, 2018.

It’s a funny thing when you’re out here shooting photos. On one hand, I need to get a good photo yield for your publication, but on the other hand, I like to experiment to get uncommon photos that are more on the side of art.

I tried some different techniques I like to use and got varied results. One of my favorite things to do is shoot at a very low shutter speed 50 to 30 FPS. This results in a pile of very blurry images, but once in a while when you anticipate the band’s movements you can catch the one you’re looking for. You can’t make your living shooting shows at this speed, but it does give results that others photogs won’t get… as they mostly think I’m crazy for shooting such a speed.

Shot this set with Canon Rebel T6 and 50mm 1.8, 24mm 2.8, and 10-18mm 4.5-6.0 lenses.
